MGS5 Emergency Key

With my key fob there is no need to remove the back cover!

The first image shows my fob. Having pressed the silver button the top (silver, where the fob can be attached to a key ring) will separate, as shown.

The second image shows my Emergency Key partly slotted into the space for it inside the fob.

I picked up my S5 today and was wondering how you get the emergency key out as I see it there but cant figuire how to get it out. I have the same fob as you.

There two types of fobs for the S5 I believe, they look very similar.
If you check back through the post you can see both types.
Some have the capability to store the emergency key inside the fob, while others don’t !.
If both of your emergency keys where supplied outside of the fob, then there is a good chance you have the fob that has no internal space intended to accommodate it.
Check back through the thread and all will become clear.

The top of the fob has clearly released, it seems strange that you can’t get access to the blade ?.
Have you tried using a pair of tweezers to grab the side of the blade ?.
It maybe just a bit stuck in the fob ?.

Have you tried simply tapping the open end of the fob down onto your palm? That's how I retrieve mine!
