MGS5 in the wild?

Spotted my first MG5S, a white one, which was stopped at the BP garage at Brockford Street on the A140 on Wednesday early evening. My god, those vehicles are huge! Bit like white Range Rovers - makes them look even bigger.

To me it looked like a pregnant Kona!

There getting to be as common as something, I spotted two today a white and blue one, the front lights make it easy to spot.

The Atto3 is very similar from the side.

When the PCP on my MG5PFL ends next March I'm seriously considering returning it and changing to an S5, most likely second-owner, but would love to see one "in the flesh".

True, not seen one on the road where I live except mine , but it was ages before I saw another MG5 when I first got that one, now see a load

Yep, they are very similar. Probably the same designer. No bad thing though. Nice motor the MGS5.

The routing of that charging cable is more than a bit worrying tbh.
Across he bonnet, rubbing on the paint of the A post, then the cable is applying pressure to both the charge flap door and the charging socket in the car ?.
I guess the owner had a EV with a front charging port maybe, or followed the example of the MG5 owner and parked forward facing .
Hope nobody attempts to walk between the front of the car and the charging post, that could end badly .

The S5 was there first, the MG5 is mine. It was a 75 so I was thinking they may have switched from a front port car and forgotten. Although there often used to be a Renault Zoe there, reversed in and with the cable trailing to the front in a similar fashion! So maybe it's the same driver and they just like to be different

Tbh - The sales figures are never really accurate anyway from all manufacturers.
The reporting of car sales has been open to manipulation for donkeys years !.
The “pre-registering” of cars etc, plus other practices is done to inflate / maintain predicted car sales figures ( plus many other tricks ) has been the norm in the motor trade industry, for ages.
Years ago - Ford would ship loads of brand new cars ( Fiesta / Escort etc ) over to the likes of Jersey.
Take them off the ferry, drive them for about 10 miles, put them back onto a ship and ship them back to the U.K. mainland.
Then sell them all over the U.K. at huge reductions at actions houses etc.
We once bought a “so called” a second hand Fiesta, from a local stage, that had less than 50 miles clock, at a massive reduction in price.
This local garage, was not a Ford dealer but still had a choice of 3 different colours to choose from !.
All of them had almost identical mileage recorded.
I would personally not really trust car sales figures myself.
