MGS5 in the wild?

I'm sorry you've broken your duck,
I suppose that must really suck,
I'll take a punt,
and guess the affront,
Must feel like the end of your luck?

Had mine for 2 weeks now, not seen one until Sunday when one passed me as I was turning into a driveway . I was in the wife’s MG3 hybrid at the time .

Owned my MGS5 since late October this year, and I've yet to see another one on the road yet!!!
Anyone driving near to Andover, gizza wave and a flash!!

Spotted my first MG5S, a white one, which was stopped at the BP garage at Brockford Street on the A140 on Wednesday early evening. My god, those vehicles are huge! Bit like white Range Rovers - makes them look even bigger.

To me it looked like a pregnant Kona!
Thought that was mine for a moment, as I live in Brockford. Mine’s black though! They do look quite large, although its not that much bigger than my previous VW ID.3.

Saw a white one coming out of Sainsbury's car park in Chichester as I was driving in today.

Saw a white one in the Cattle Market car park in Chichester this morning. It was a dirty white though, much like my dirty silver. Why does the S5 get so dirty, especially the rear end?

All hatchbacks suffer badly from attacking dirt to the rear, less so on booted cars.
As the car travels along, it creates a vortex behind the car, which pulls the dirt up from the road and deposits it on the hatch.

Given this, I found it a strange decision to omit the rear screen wash / wiper on certain MG4 models.
Clearly design over function 🤷🏻.

The thing that seems to attract most dirt is the rear camera. At this time of year it is pretty much unusable, as it becomes a smudgy mess in one journey.

I have still yet to see another S5 in the wild.

I had an MG4 with no rear wiper and it didn't need it. The rear projecting light bar and the rake of the back window must have killed the low pressure area behind the car.

Must admit, the rear of the MG4 doesn't seem to get as dirty, as other hatchbacks I've had. Still like the rear wiper, though. 🙂👍
