MGS5 Rattles

Hi I am not that happy with my mgs5 it has a lot of little rattlesand the boot floor bangs when you go over any bumps or pot holes and software isn't as good as my mg 4 was wish I had kept my 4

My car is completely rattle free. Perhaps you have some items loose in the boot?
The software is generally acknowledged to be better than the MG4 so it would be interesting to know which aspects don't meet with your liking.

Mine is also rattle free, unlike my previous Ioniq 5 which had a rattling tailgate, and a rattling rear seatbelt if the passenger left it twisted ( which seemed to be 99% of the time).

If the boot floor is banging check under it, maybe it's your cable or the tools set that's loose.

Is it the boot floor or the tailgate that's banging?

Mine is rattle free and the software is different to the MG4 but I wouldn't say its worse, if anything they've ironed out some of the quirks, although in some cases they've added others.

Hi nothing in boot or door pockets seems to be door cards or b pillar
Auto dark mode for entertainment
Radio keeps changing from dab to fm for no reason you have to change nav settings as well as mg pilot to shut up constant warnings I could go on !!

The one thing about the software that drives us nuts are the loud "SCHOOL ZONE!" interruptions.

There's an option in the sat-nav to turn that off

Mine has a rattle in the same area when I go over a large (traffic calming) bump or pothole. It is intermittent to some extent, in that it is much worse sometimes than others. I found it reduced when I opened the driver's window a touch, so perhaps something to do with the window mechanism. I wonder if this is the same with yours.

I am annoyed with the constant over speed warning as well! For example….it picks up exit speeds on motor way ramp and start constantly giving the annoying sound. Yes I can turn off the audible alarm but that’s an extra step every single time I drive and defeats the purpose.

Not MGs fault, these warnings have to be included by law now. You can set the car up the way you like it and save that to MGPilot, after that it's swipe, press & confirm once at the start of your trip.

Mine has an intermittent rattle behind my head whilst driving.

My MG4 does that, but when I traced the noise, I discovered it was my brain rattling around inside my skull...

I sometimes get a bit of a whining sound from the back seat area, but then I can take them home to their parents.
