Only speaking for myself here, but I have never heard of this type of thing happening before, in any EV - anybody else ?.
Really curious, like many others here to understand what has caused this catastrophic failure, so early in the batteries life cycle.
I am sure that I speak for many concerned new owners of the S5 that situation needs an urgent investigation to discover the exact cause of the problem.
With dealers also being made aware of this situation.
We need to keep our fingers tightly crossed that ( at the moment ) this is a very isolated incident.
Could it be a design fault which could affect many many cars ?.
This would be a complete disaster for both the owners and the manufacturer of course.
Let’s really hope that it IS an isolated incident, with a really obvious cause and explanation from the manufacturer !.
Far too early to speculate here of course, but this definitely was not expected or in anyway normal.
