Hello and welcome to the enthusiast's Wiki for the MGS6 EV.

MGS6 EV – Overview
The MGS6 EV is MG’s new mid-size all-electric SUV, positioned above the MGS5 EV and aimed at rivals like the VW ID.4, Renault Scenic E-Tech, Nissan Ariya and Ford Explorer. It surfaced early via Euro NCAP crash-test material and has already been rated five stars. MG told media that three variants are due to open for order from the end of November 2025 (full unveiling and UK specifics to follow).
Note that MG are using a new naming convention where an S before the number denotes an SUV body style. Hence the MGS6 name, all one word, no spaces.
Design and Dimensions
It keeps the family look of the MGS5 - including split headlamps - but stretches the wheelbase and squares off the rear to free up more cabin and boot space. Australian design-rule filings list approximate dimensions of 4,708 mm L × 1,912 mm W × 1,664 mm H, wheelbase 2,835 mm, and 190 mm ground clearance. Euro NCAP imagery confirms the full-width rear light bar.
Interior and Features
Inside, the car features a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a large 15.6-inch touchscreen for infotainment. The cabin design has been modernised with upgraded materials and tech, including wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Trims and Pricing
At the time of this post, official UK trims and prices are TBC. MG told Auto Express that three variants will be on sale, with pricing to “maintain MG’s reputation for competitive value”. Independent reporting expects it to slot between MGS5 and IM6, implying a UK starting price under ~£35k, rising to ~£40k depending on spec. Powertrain options listed in government filings include 62.2 kWh (RWD) and 77 kWh (RWD or AWD) packs, with the dual-motor AWD version quoted at up to 266 kW total output.
