The gen1 ZS's don't have app control so granny charging is manually controlled which can be inconvenient.
I bought a Tapo plug for £10 which is controlled by app on your phone. It is a 3pin 13amp rated plug which plugs into your normal 3pin socket in between the charger plug.
You can then switch charging on & off. It also has a timer facility & better still shows exactly how much electricity has gone through the plug & when allowing you to accurately cost as there is a +/- 5% loss thru the car charger's inverter. I note that my normal charge rate is 2.3kW dropping to about 300W for about 1.5hrs balance charging.

Is the 1.5hr balance consistent. Mine has always taken 4 hours +. I rapid charge about 1 every 6 months.
