Might this be the end of Tyre GUNK

Seems like an over engineered solution to a problem that has already got a good solution i.e. gunk. Modern gunk can be sprayed into the tyre to float around until needed where it automatically fixes a puncture and it can be washed out with water so does not ruin the tyre for repair purposes.

Gunk is no good at all with any sizeable puncture and definitely no good with a blow out. Gunk isnt good around tpms either, it's an absolute mess for the tyre fitters. Thanks but no thanks.

Jesus what a waste of time…
Saving a couple of inches…

It does save quite a lot in reality, waste of time? not really, tyre gunk is though.

As ever it's down to cost and weight saving but at least make the space available and give the customer the option.
Pretty much what MG has done, the MG5 has the option of a spare wheel kit or have the storage for cables etc.
