We have just done a Christmas run to pick up a relative 100 mile trip mostly all motorway and achieved 4.2 miles perc kilowatt. Average outside temperature of 6degC.
Very pleased with the efficiency. Motorway was busy but steady progress, had the cruise and follow for most of the trip. Wife will do the return trip just to see if there is any difference in driving style

That's good for this time of year and helped by the busy motorway as you probably weren't doing much over 60ish.

My wife drove on the way back and didn’t hang around and still had a respectable efficiency of 3.7 All runs with AC heating on. I’m so pleased with the car. Around trip of 200 miles was less than £3. Happy days!

I was foolish enough to go to the chemist on Christmas Eve, so stood in a long queue for an extended time. For that entire journey a "bloke" (I don't just mean a bloke, but a "bloke") was telling his nearly silent friend how useless EVs are and how they cost as much per mile to run as a diesel and it was all a big conspiracy.

I couldn't be arsed, so I didn't say anything.

Actually, I must've been in a particularly sanguine mood, because I got to the front and was dealt with by someone with a badge proclaiming themselves to be a "Relief Dispenser." I didn't say a word.

Its simple maths to prove the knuckle draggers wrong but I am guessing most of them didn't pay much attention in school so it would be fruitless to challenge them.
