Our key fob battery went flat and we had to use the emergency key to get into the car. When I replaced the batteries in both fobs I noticed there was only one emergency key. Has anyone else found this in their key fobs ? Car is a 2023 phev.

You only get one with the car, but you may get one cut at a locksmith or you could get one from MG.
If you have the updated information screen on the app can you unlock the car and use the smart key to start the car, I done this a number of time to move the car around on the drive.

I called mg and they said there is one in each remote. 2 remotes come with the car so I ordered a blade for $10 nzd and I can get it cut for $40 the locksmith said. Another locksmith quoted me $90nzd to supply and cut the blade. The new blade will fit in the spare remote like new. The car is 2.5 years old and doesnt have info on the screen or connect to the app, mg said this model doesnt do that. I cant remember if I checked for the keys in both remotes when I bought it new but at least ill have a spare now. next time i will :)
It was easy to use and got me into the car straight away :)
