Which are the best options do people think are to select for getting the best miles per KWh of driving on the motorway its a 74 plate trophy things like keeping the speed to 60/65/70 etc eco-comfort-sport etc mode 1-2-3 etc.

Eco might gain you a couple of extra miles but I don't like what it does to the aircon. Unlike some earlier cars, the trophy uses regen when in cruise control so there's very little reason to not use it. The main determining factors are speed and temperature. At this time of year I get almost 200 miles range with the ACC set to 70mph. If I'm in France and doing 80mph then I would get quite a bit less. Along the 50mph section of the M25 id get quite a lot more.

I’m not convinced my Trophy uses regen in ACC. If it puts the brakes on then I see some regen but ACC down hills power drops to 0 and shows no -ve regen.

I have noticed AC uses way less power than heating. But ultimately it’s lower speed that gets you further. I aim for 65 cruise but faster as required to overtake and not get stuck on inside lane in between lorry’s.

My Trophy definitely does regen downhill on ACC. I'll try to take a look the next time the ACC has to slow the car down for other reasons but there would be other things to concentrate on if the ACC is putting on the brakes.

6 hours driving on Saturday…

ACC set to 65. Accelerate to 70 and lift then the car coasts back to 65 with 0 regen showing. Tried setting at 40 today and accelerating to 60 and same happens.

Still can’t see any regen on ACC downhill. Seems to coast not regen.

I have a gen 1 Kona and when I engage ACC it turns regen off. On the motorway/dual carriageway which is one of my 2 uses for ACC, it makes sense as it's more efficient generally as the usual case while in ACC is slowing down followed by acceleration rather than accelerating and then slowing down. (i.e. it takes more power to regain speed than it regens slowing down).
I need to check my other ACC use scenario which is in stop start traffic at obviously slow speed to notice if it uses regen at slow speed. The back of my mind thinks it might........

P.S. In the Kona for the regen option settings one of them is off completely and with the use of the flappy paddles I quite often use this as coasting can be more efficient than regen at the lowest level and having to accelerate again.

Completed a 160 mile journey last Friday in our 2021 sr Excite, motorway and A roads, fully laden with air con on coldest setting. Overall 4.8m/kWh but on the M1 section of approximately 60 miles consumption dropped to 5.1m/kwh. I always drive in the slow lane when possible at 55 - 60 mph, KERS 1 and feather like right foot. Not a fan of motorways but this is as stress free as it gets. This car never ceases to impress me, even after nearly 4 years of ownership.

There is a steep downhill stretch of the M23 where, if I set the ACC to 70 the car goes into regen mode to keep it under 70. I did also pull in behind a slower car when I had the ACC on and the power meter went negative while the cart matched speeds.
I don't know what is different about our cars but mine definitely does regen as a first resort if it needs to slow down.

Tried ACC on steeper hills and yes it does regen so I stand corrected! I still feel that it lifts and coasts a bit on shallower hills but I guess this is a good thing.

I think that the car confuses the issue slightly because it isn't very strict about sticking to the speed that has been set, which I quite like as it give a smooth experience but It can result in the car coasting along for a bit if it finds itself going too fast.
