Our local council has moved towards electric vans and in the local paper the dog warden was reported as saying that their animals are less stressed in these than in previous ICE vans.

Dogs can hear frequencies the rest of us can not.

The motors are probably driven by some sort of frequency modulation, my guess is, the ZS EV emits some sort of "higher than audible for humans" frequency "whine" that your dog can hear.

There can be subtle differences in how much whine each car does, so maybe another car does not have as much as yours.

If this is something specific to your car it would seem the electrics in this specific car, is a bit of a dog’s breakfast.

Poor dog is try to figure out how it going to bring a bucket of sparks back to rescue you on the side of the highway before you freeze to death ... deep down, it knows it must keep you alive, it can't operate a can opener .....

This is a weird one. Our dog so far has been through 3 EVs, my previous Model 3, my wife's Atto 3 and now the IM6. Not an issue with either of the three. With the Atto3 and the IM6 he will happily jump in the boot when I open it up and stay relaxed for the duration of the journey.

To be honest out of the people i know that talks the most about and fears range anxiety the most, 9/10 are people that have a ICE car.

They say the best cure against range anxiety is buying an EV
