Ncap fail for mg3 hybrid

Perhaps it could but it's early days, and if it gets fixed won't be any problems it will be lost in the history books 😁 Think positive that's what I say 😁
Fingers crossed but having dealt with MG for a couple of years with various issues it's hard to say anything positive about MG UK's aftersales service

Bought my MG year ago and hopefully they will do something about it if not then we will have to do something about it cause lets face it,no one wants to drive a death trap especially that its confirmed.

A bit of a sensationalist video though. I know the content is something we all worry about now in light of these tests, but the way he decides the drivers femur will break into 20 pieces is a bit over the top!

And I lost respect for the video when he suggested talking to George Orwell via Ouija Board!!

Just spoke to MG customer care, no updates regarding the seat mechanism failure MG still looking into it.The guy on the phone said the car was still safe I said a load of bollocks it's just failed the euro ncap on seat failure how does that make it safe, and unfortunately that was the end of the conversation 😁

Has anyone had any success in getting a response from MG regarding the seat failure etc.
I emailed MG on Friday morning they haven't replied i rang my dealership on Saturday morning they promised to ring back up to yet no one has contacted me my dealership has nearly every new MG in stock apart from the MG3

I doubt very much if UK Dealers know anything yet. :(
HI Clive my dealership has just contacted me basically saying MG UK are taking this matter seriously and are liaising with the relevant authorities but up to yet the dealers haven't had any feedback from MG about solving this problem and they will let customers know when there is an update i asked about the rectification to cars which are already registered but the dealership was unable to answer my question I asked if this was a one off incident to one car and if my car was safe to drive but unfortunately they couldn't answer this question I got the feeling they was reading from a prepared statement and didn't want to commit themselves

My dealership has a few new mg3 for sale I would be surprised if they sell any with all the reviews on the internet? IAM surprised there hasn't been anything on the TV regarding this failure?

My letter of rejection has been posted "Special Delivery" to supplying dealership. I'm not daft enough to drive there as that opens me up to a challenge that I consider the car safe to drive. Once I have proof of delivery I'll send a copy to MG UK and then see what happens. I'm really very dissapointed in MGs reaction so far esoecially stating that current vehicles won't be fixed. Other than the know over revving on hills which I've experienced as others have, I've been very pleased with the car - however safety comes first.

This from Which?:

Hi it would be great to know the supplying dealerships reaction when they receive your letter

Hi most likely if you can sort things out between you amicably it will be sweet , but if that doesn't happen the dealership will drag it on for as long as possible.

John Cadogan's style is a bit marmite and I must admit that I found him sufficiently irritating that I unsubscribed from his channel some time back. Regardless of this, he's a qualified engineer and really knows his stuff when it comes to nuts and bolts issues so is well worth a listen.

The car/s tested were left hand drive, so I wonder if that makes any difference, obviously not if all the seat latching mechanisms are the same, but something to think about?
