Need new infotainment system.

Hi all. After numerous electrical problems on our 69 ZSEV, 2 garages suggest a new infotainment system.

MG want to charge me over £1000 to fit one ? I can get one on eBay for less than £200 , and my local garage can fit it.

My question is....does anyone know if a new system needs coding or can it just be plugged in and away we go?

Most likely expired if its a 69 plate.
Wouldn't know if it would require coding, but there would most likely be some software update differences.

Your local garage may be able to access the MG portal and get the coding information if it's needed. Maybe worth asking them.

There may be a SOGA angle here if the issues are long standing and have led to the current diagnoses.

The warranty on that has expired already. Might have been a year, possibly three. Unfortunately.

It has been fine for 18 months, just came on recently.
