New Car Sanitization.

Will all these new MG's be sanitized when they arrive in the UK. As they are coming from a country that is absolutely rife with Corona Virus at the moment it would be good to know that the cars and their air filters are completely clean and sanitized.

Corona Virus is not nuclear follout. It dies outside of body in hours those cars take weeks to travel to UK so now.

There has been quarter of a million cases in the UK just last week so it's not like UK is exactly sterile and covid free...

So no, noone is going to strip a car in a Uak and replace your filters

If there were any contamination, it's more likely to come from handling in the UK. The car will be cleaned during PDI regardless.

I do. Contamination would have to fresh to matter. And by fresh I mean as fresh as car being contaminated this very morning. Even if this car was used as covid transport for the most infected in China month later in the UK there would be no virus left in it. The only contamination that can affect UK buyer would be from UK car dealer and even then risk of that is close to none.

You are far more likely to catch corona virus from being sat in the same office signing paper work than you are from air filter or surfaces

Not going to lie, I don't believe the interior clean will be much more that a quick vacuum.

That said, I'm the type of person to go over the interior myself after a valet even pre-covid, so I've got my anti-viral cleaner ready

Based on positive cases you're significantly more likely to catch it in a dealership than in the Chinese manufacturing plant.

Are you confident that virus is more prominent in China than in the UK?

Even if you believe that, you’re far more likely to catch the virus by popping into a coffee shop or supermarket (and breathing in near an infected person) en route to collecting your vehicle than you are from surface contact from a item that has been in a container for weeks since leaving China.

lots of people have apple iPhones and ipads, and currently most of them are made in China, so I wouldn’t worry
