ZS EV
Hello

I've just registered to the forum. I have recently purchased a ZS EV which is my first EV, and also first MG having been a long time ford owner.

First impressions are great, I'm still trying to get used to the settings and cruise control etc

I've got it booked in to have the rear windows and sun roof tinted.

Welcome rf87. If it's your first EV then you may find the ZS EV a bit mind boggling to start with. It's got loads of really useful features. Give it a couple of weeks & you'll have mastered most of them. The semi-autonomous self drive function (traffic jam assist) is particularly useful I've found. These ZS's seem to have many more features than much more expensive cars. And the great thing is, they all work!

Welcome rf87, car looks good. I see you have a driveway and garage, I suggest you have your own charge point installed, preferably a 'smart' one, that way you can sign up to a tariff that allows you to charge up through the wee small hours for as little as 8p a unit. Check out Octopus as they have deals on chargers that are compatible with their tariffs. They can be expensive, but it will pay for itself eventually. Other suppliers are available too.
I've had mine for yonks now, though not 'smart', and was lucky to benefit from a government grant, way back in 2016. Alas the government of the day decided to stop all grants that was designed to encourage ICE drivers to switch over to EV's, so well done you for making the switch🙂
Another wee tip, if you are going on a longish journey plan ahead, that's the key to it all. There are many tips on the subject elsewhere on the forum.
Happy motoring😃
