I read somewhere that the current one is not selling well in China, hence the new one, which apparently has done way better in customer previews, but the old one is continuing production for some while for other countries, alongside the new one... I prefer the interior of the new one, but the exterior of the current one.

Got to say I prefer the existing shape, which looks like it was designed by someone with design talent rather than the "new"one shown in the photograph.

The "new" one is yet another generic blob with rear looking like every other car available. MG need to up their design skills and introduce some new colours for the existing range where they are getting left behind by the likes of Peugeot .

The interior looks good, but we seem to get poorer interiors compared to the same model in other parts of the world

I think it's fair to say that the new MG 4 has no style at all and looking at the reduction in price I can see why ( I believe the current model was largely designed here in UK) Also I can't believe they have dropped the multi link rear suspension, yes the white interior looks great, but why was that not an option on the current model? And I note that there's no mention of a new Xpower so I guess those of us who want stick with twin motors will have to fork out for the new IM 5 (which I really like) but for me it's just too big, in fact I would like to downsize to a twin motor MG3 size motor, there's just no bloody room on the roads anymore with all these damn huge cars, mostly carrying one or two persons - what does others think? Bearing in mind that right now most of us are forced to go larger because smaller EVs only have smaller batteries (on current tech) and their range is pitiful!

A couple of years back I posted a tongue in cheek ( which was dismissed with ridicule ) post saying the MG4 was going to be a future classic and we should buy a spare one to keep in aspic for future investment. Perhaps time for a re-visit????
Nine years ago I predicted a date for the commencement of World War 3 , ( not far off now ) so perhaps time to start building an Anderson shelter/ garage for said investment !!!

I think you're referring to the 3 concept or Veloster, a 2007 concept that never happened. But that's a 2 door coupe, not really a type to compare to the MG4, unless I've got the wrong car.

Yes I see now, but again purely a concept that may or may not come to be. But again hardly a fair comparison with the MG4 and let's not forget that Hyundai are way more expensive which gives them way more scope to work with. Let's not forget that MG give us so much more than anyone for the price in the way of performance and value for money.
