New MG5 Headache… help!

My lovely faultless MG5 was destroyed in the fire at Luton Airport, only 11 months old.

So, as a real MG fan, I thought… let’s buy exactly the same again as it was a really good car.

My current one is a total nightmare… took delivery with 14 miles on the clock.

I rejected after only 13 days due to telematics failures, ac not gassed, hv systems failure on rapid charging, speed limiter faulty and car play not working. 3 repair attempts now.

To be fair, all except the telematics are now resolved, so the dealer is now trying to refuse my rejection (within 30 days) as this is only a “convenience feature”. Latest is the parts are on back order until Jan+.

The car has been off the road since new for 31 of the 44 days.

They now want me to accept it back not fixed, which is against the advice given from Citizens Advice.

MG “customer service” has said it’s an issue between myself and the dealer.

Tried the motor ombudsman, but it says it’s a six month wait to be looked at…

Anyone else had similar?

Any advice much appreciated as I am slowly loosing the will to live!
