Our MG ZSEV trophy is due for delivery in the next few weeks. Reading the forum i see alot of comments about settings and versions and checking x,y, z. Is there a beginners guide/top tips for new owners that ensures we get the most out of our new motor?

Enjoy your new motor when it arrives. 🙂👍

There is this Wiki and its comments:

Not a lot to do really, depending on your preferences (& the battery chemistry of your car):
*Swipe left on the infotainment screen to see all the preferences & set how you like, eg:
Turn off Lane Keeping Assist (LKA); ditto all the warning beeps and bongs.
* This bit is very useful at the time you drive away from the dealer in particular, perhaps have them assist in setting this if necessary. Otherwise the car can drive you nuts on the way home.

Ditto, maybe ask them to setup your phone bluetooth & have them bind the car with the iSmart app.

If long range NMC battery, only charge to 80% regularly, then 100% & battery balance every six weeks or so. If short range LFP battery, then simply charge to 100% as you like.

If you are picking up from a dealership, get them to bind your phone app to the car, just to make sure no one else has bound their phone.

Hopefully all the updates will be applied as part of the PDI checks, but it's always worth asking.
