[ Edit Coulomb: the above image is speculation, but there is a real interview with MG commercial director Guy Pigounakis in the article linked below: ]

What sort of problems? They must honour the warranty.

There are plenty of problems that are in this community
And the warranty is pretty rubbish if you read it its pritty much only the battery by year 7 with lots of stuff no longer covered by year 3 even the 12v battery only has 1 year when the makers of 12v batterys have been giving 3/4 year warrantys for years now

the new zs when it arrives will be the same as far as warranty is concerned. i don't see how producing the new zs will impact the warranty or fixing issues on the old one though ?

OK how many updates has the gen1 had since the gen2 was released all mg money will go in to the newer model so will not want to look at software fixes as there is a new kid on the block
It's hard to get parts now that's not going to get any better when production stops. if a car has a short life and low numbers 3rd party parts makes are not interest in developing parts

Ummm…..

Plenty ?

I have one of the earliest deliveries of the ZS EV Trophy Connect versions and driven some 11,500 miles with no issues that detract from driving the car.

Maybe you can list the plenty of issues that I am not seeing on my car?

I would be interested to know what I have to look out for.

Also the MG towing service is pretty lackluster, i found out.

Atleast here, they will more or less only tow you if your car dies, and they expect it to be warranty related.

When ours was in a crash, i found out that the towing service did not include towing cars that had been in an accident.

I would argue that this is one of the most severe cases of "I need my car towed" so i was surprised that it was not covered.

I’m surprised that MG don’t do a deal with a national breakdown service in Denmark (like AA or RAC in the UK)
recovery from accident scene can be an issue also in the UK as some don’t class this as a ‘breakdown’.

Oh well they do, they use one of the big ones, they just dont cover coverage if the car is wrecked due to an accident.

In the end the insurance company paid for the tow, as part of the insurance, maybe this is why MG omitted it. I was just unaware that the insurance company actually covered this.

I thought all accident recovery was arranged by the insurance company. Mine was.

A much better looking front end IMO.
I wonder if it will still have the steering click. :sneaky:

Michael your on here a lot if you have not read about problems then you must have Tunnel Vision I am glade you have been very lucky and hopeful there are more car out there trouble free
There are problems reported
steering
Charging
unwanted emergency braking
unwanted acceleration
And simply stuff like mp3 play back
Bluetooth head unit issues generally
There isn't even many car out there in the wild yet so a am sure its not going to get better
Most could probably be fixed under software upgrades but mg really don't care and will car even less then the new ZS is out
The UK hasn't even got its own official map updates yes I know we can up date using the European website but this is poor

The new (smaller) Toyota BZ3 saloon is looking tempting to me, depending on the price.

Does anyone know whether that image is actually from MG, or just concept art that the mag commissioned? They say it's exclusive, but that can mean anything - looks like render of a mashup between the current ZS and the 4.
