News on delivery of first Batch of IM5

With a new car, it is hard to get a good insurance price as you really need to look 21 days ahead for best prices, but you typically can't because you need the registration and that's not available typically until just before you get the car. Insurers squeeze last-minuters because they can.

This often means paying more than you ideally would in the first year.
Yes, I was sceptical about getting a good price as some insurers wanted over 1000. But on contacting Churchill - my current insurer for my old PHEV Prius, they only wanted another £300 extra on top of the £330. So not bad.

Hi, yes I test drive one last Monday and was told 4 months to order....so I asked can I buy the demo model (only been there two weeks & 300 miles)? And they said yes. Luckily it is the middle option long range. I wanted blue but black will do! Got quite a few reductions plus 11k on PX for my 6 yr old PHEV Prius! So a good price. Pick her up tomorrow! I'll let you know how it goes.
A bit nerve wracking but the wee beastie is home. It'll take a while to get to grips with the "no knobs" (except me 😎) controls. It's a bit odd configuring the air vents on the screen & the start up demonic animation does give it a Knight Rider feel. The car looks amazing & the dealer went a bit mad with a red cover reveal & noticeboard with our names on. Still, it was the first one they'd sold & the first in Pembrokeshire!

Sounds like it has worked out well!

Jack Scarlett in his live review was praising the 'two fingers' system for climate control changes.

Swiping anywhere on the screen with two fingers can change the fan speed and temperature, so you don't have to look hard at it and do anything fiddly.
