News on delivery of first Batch of IM5

No, not something that bothers me at the moment. There's some access under the hood. I've just topped up the washer fluid & I think the handover guy, James, said all the necessary fluids are there too

As it is a recommended monthly check I would quite like to know how easy it is to access. Could not see it under the bonnet when I had a quick look at the dealers.

Yes, I have sen that in the manual. But did not see those access points (1 and 2) in the car….

I've had another look under the bonnet and I can only see the box for tyre repair etc plus the screen wash. No obvious access for other fluid checks.

I just got the VIN from my dealer. Does anyone know how long before delivery this can be?

I have just had a call from my dealer telling me that my im5 will be arriving in the country on the 5th December ( but could earlier) with a delivery date to me a week after that.
So earlier xmas present for me.

Congratulations on your new motor! My dealer just messaged to say mine is still expected around mid Nov. I have been going mental tracking ANJI Soundness without even knowing if my car is actually on it!

Glad to see so much interest around the IM EV's, they look like a great addition to the MG roster. Is anyone able to share motor insurance costs for vehicles delivered in the UK? I can see all the IM EV's have Tesla-esque insurance groupings in the UK, so premiums are bound to be at the upper end, maybe even higher than the newly refreshed Tesla's, which seem to have had their insurance groupings revised downwards.

Generally with cars coming from China, it's about 6-8 weeks from VIN being allocated while the car is being built, through shipping, checks, delivery to the dealer and then delivery to you. On the other hand if it was a car that has already been built, and they just allocated it to you, it could be any time less than that!
