But I think it's more likely just a portable battery that outputs AC & DC

If it's portable would be more efficient to directly connect to the motor and just drive.

I don’t think these are any use with an EV. They’re targeting consumer items use.
 
There's some that are targeted at a consumer market, but others that do target them for emergency EV use - I'm sure the breakdown services have the ones specifically targeted for EVs.
 
It's a 2000Wh LiFePO4 battery in a box, with a multiple input charger. I offers a 230Vac output via an inverter rated to 2kW (4.8kW peak - but I dunno how many mS that's good for) and a variety of 12Vdc, 5Vdc and wireless phone charging outputs.
