No CarPlay

Anyone else have this issue? CarPlay has stopped working.
Tried with 2 different phones and 2 different cables all combinations.
It was working a week ago, now when I connect a phone, neither the phone or the infotainment screen shows a connection.
Also tried to fit a wireless dongle, but that wasn't recognised either.
Any advice would be appreciated.

If both phones had already been connected to the car previously then you could, if not already tried, click on "forget this car" under CarPlay settings on your phone and connect as new.

Don't know what I did but it's working again now.
Still can't get the wireless adapter to work.

There are very few WLAN adapters that work with MG, e.g. Carlinkit 5.0 and Carlinkit UHD

For me, resetting the car to the factory settings in the settings helped for a short time.
However, iOS 18.2 may also be the problem; according to the internet, many users with this iOS version are reporting problems

My Carlinkit 3 works fine in my ZS EV and my iPhone is on iOS 18.2.1.

Set a 20 - 30 second delay on your dongle, so the car has fully booted before the wireless dongle starts up, and ensure that your phone is not connected to the car via Bluetooth - only connect to the dongle.

I solved this issue. Just disconnect the Bluetooth connection to the phone. Everything then works through the wired connection. Basically my phone’s Bluetooth connection overrules the wired connection to the same device.

Check whether your phone can receive the CarPlay's WiFi and Bluetooth. If so, you can ask your dealer to upgrade the CarPlay system. You can also try a wired connection, but you need to turn off the phone's WiFi and Bluetooth.

Thanks for the replies. Wired connection has been working for a few months now. It's not that big a problem to plug it in.
