Hi all,
The heater in my MG5 LR became noisy about a month ago. To cut a long story short my local MG dealer, from whom I bought the car new, have been appalling and they've not even looked at it yet to tell me if it's something MG will fix under warranty. I was wondering if anyone has had a similar issue or has experience of what MG will cover.
The reason I ask is that I can take it to alternate dealer, but it's a 1 1/2 hour round trip and they want £60 to look at it if they decide it's not covered by the warranty.
The symptoms are the the heating works but on the minimum fan speed setting it sounds like it used to at full speed. Turning the speed up it's even noisier, to the point that i have to turn the radio up to hear it. If I turn the fan off I can hear it wind down very quickly and it squeaks as it comes to a stop. I'm 99% certain it's a faulty bearing.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.
