Hi,
Newbie here.
We have a spare space-saver tyre from a written-off Ford Mondeo. Will it fit the MG5EV?
The tyre is T125/80R16 with an 400Bx16 and ET25.

I understand that the correct one should be T125/90R16 with ET25.5

It’s so close, but wanted to check with you experienced guys first.

Many thanks

I think it's a different pcd (wheel nut spacing)

It depends absolutely on the bolt PCD and count as to will it fit, ET value is close enough.

However 1st off the "80" makes it a smaller rolling diameter skewing the car and certainly not good on the driven wheels.

2nd if you have an accident with this fitted don't expect too much from the insurance company

Space savers have a very limited life anyway (enough to get you to tyre place should be all that is required). Throwing the car out of track is only going to be worse. Somebody I knew kept putting off getting a new tyre and was down to the carcase before he realised the wear rate was so bad

Hi
you need to have a look on the wheel on it should be stamped a number for the pcd
Mg5 pcd is 5x112
I think your ford wheel is 5x108
So they wouldn’t fit
Sorry 😢

Very helpful everyone, thanks.
Will check the Mondeo wheel again, but unless it’s 5x112, it won’t work.
