Snap. Same thoughts at same time!Love my XPower, too many safety points to raise here, drive it sensibly and the extra acceleration will come in handy when overtaking

Yes, although overtaking situations are a small fraction of the car accident statistics. The Xpower‘s performance is safe to handle due to all the safety tech and 4wd. In some respects and at some times it is safer having more power in order to pull out safely and overtake in a shorter time, so safer.
Sort of ...... the AWD is available all the time, in all modes, but only kicks in when necessary "in non sport mode" when the accelerator is pushed hard. In Sport mode the front motor is permanently engaged all the time.Do I understand it correctly that the xpower only has front an rear engine operational (4 wheel drive) in sports mode? An not in snow, normal, eco or custom mode?
Thanks.Sort of ...... the AWD is available all the time, in all modes, but only kicks in when necessary "in non sport mode" when the accelerator is pushed hard. In Sport mode the front motor is permanently engaged all the time.
So accelerating hard in ECO mode will get the front motor engaged ?
I think (forgive me if I’m wrong) but you’re also thinking of this in isolation. The bigger picture is that more safety features exist now, better designs of cars, lower speed limits, better separation of the different forms of transport etc.
I queried a trend of UK traffic deaths and it’s pretty clear it’s on the right path even given faster more powerful cars.

I tried to get it to plot a graph but it just generated the code for it heh.
It seems a little sensational or headline grabbing to assume that one new thing is the downfall of all.
In summary, don’t panic. ?
Edit: the data looks like this, not gonna graph it but neither year quoted in the first image is an outlier.

Proof that faster cars mean fewer deaths!chart below, does show a steady decline until about 2011 when it levels off
Wait, did you type the data into excel manually to graph that? Commitment if so! ??chart below, does show a steady decline until about 2011 when it levels off
Or proof that faster cars has prevented a further fall in deaths. Or in fact proof of nothing at all without more data.Proof that faster cars mean fewer deaths!
I’m pretty sure there was a /s there in spirit ?Or proof that faster cars has prevented a further fall in deaths. Or in fact proof of nothing at all without more data.
As they say lies, damn lies and statisticsOr proof that faster cars has prevented a further fall in deaths. Or in fact proof of nothing at all without more data.
Indeed. Please excuse my exuberance.Or proof that faster cars has prevented a further fall in deaths. Or in fact proof of nothing at all without more data.
Nah it's Vauxhall Insignias, by a massive margin. Some of the worst drivers on the road are in Fiat 500s, and I don't mean the Abarth version. ?(As well as Audis and Mercs of course - that's a given).
