I am looking at the S6 but I will wait for April when cars under 50k do not have to pay the follow on tax of 450+ tax for 5 years as the trophy models are over 40K list and the tax will apply

As has been said, increase to £50K as threshold before luxury tax was backdated to April 2025, if it's a newly registered car to you first years RFL is £10, if it's pre register you'll have to pay a full years RFL.

Question to the owners, do you get a MG granny charger and/or Type 2 to Type 2 cable with the car?

Type 2 cable was listed on my spec that’s what it came with, no granny. Was not an issue for me as I already had one and a home charge point.

Ditto type 2. Luckily I kept the MG5's granny charger. You also get locking wheel nuts (not fitted) if you wish to use them.

Well so much for me saying I will wait until April/May, even the 4 weeks wait for delivery felt too long. Finally picked the car up today and now on my 150 miles journey home. It is a dual motor. Oh the boot does only open half way even it is set to high.

I do like the beige interior option, I must admit. Good luck with the tailgate. I have to say I've yet to experience any of the tailgate issues. Hoping it stays that way too. Enjoy your new car.

Literally just been outside and did a recalibration. Appears to be opening fully now with tailgate button and hands free.
