Parking brake applies when seat belt is unbuckled

I noticed that when stopped if the drivers seat belt is unbuckled the parking brake comes on - anyone else noticed this?

The parking brake comes on automatically when you push in the park button. Are you saying if you unbuckle your seat belt while stopped and not in park the brake engages? Sounds like a good safety feature

Yes happens to me too, you can manually release it if you keep the belt off.

It also does the same thing if you open the door without putting it in park.
