Parking brake fault

Had my car in local garage getting brakes checked. The brakes were fine but when the garage were winding the parking brake back in the diagnostic system wasn't letting them do this.

I now have no parking brake and MG fewer can't look at it until mid august.

Anyone had any experience of this before.

The garage have said the brakes and callipers are fine.
