Hi all.

I test drove and looked at a 23 plate ZS EV today, it seems there is no passenger seat height adjustment in the ZS SE LR. The dealer told me there are no cars in the MG EV range have passenger seat height adjustment. Can anyone please confirm this, if it can be adjusted please indicate the year and trim level.

Thanks

I can’t speak for the whole of the MG range on offer, but the passengers seat for UK models of the ZSEV does NOT have a height adjustment and is totally manual adjustment.
The drivers seat on the top spec ZS EV is fully electric and height is covered.
These seats are heated also.
The new MGS5 top spec Trophy also has manual adjustment and no height adjustment on the passengers seat.
Hope this answers your question.

Thanks it does, a deal breaker for me unfortunately.

Yes I found the same on most cars. Also the front passengers window goes down on one touch but up only by pressing & holding the button.

I am pretty sure it’s the same on the rear windows also. I think they use this idea as a safety feature, just in case children decide to lower the window and put their head or arms out of the window and pull up on the window button 😩.
So the button requires a constant pull and hold, to get the window raised, if you release it, it will stop !.
Usually the rear window operation can be deactivated from a button in the drivers door window control pad.

They do, but only because they want to save a few quid by using a servo that has no anti-pinch detection.

It is perfectly possible to have the auto up feature, just need a sensor to feel if the window is being blocked, then stop and go down a bit.

Penny pinching at it's finest.

Same with aircon, from what i read, the climate control could be a heatpump, if they added one extra valve and changed the software in the climate control a bit.

They chose to not do this, as they also sell this as a petrol/diesel car and there you dont need heatpump due to infinite heat from the engine.

Also the same with using regen to adjust speed when in ACC mode. They did not do special software for the ZS EV because the petrol/diesel variant can not use that and they did not want to make a different variant of software for the ESP module for the electric ones.
