Passenger window failure

I wound the front passenger window down as I set off to clear the window yesterday morning and it wouldn't wind back up again. Neither switch would work.

The fix was to stop the car, get out and lock it before getting back in and trying again. It worked and has continued to do so ever since.

I'm hoping it was just a one off but will keep you posted if it happens again.

These cars do some strange things. We had our 12 volt battery changed a few weeks back. The shop used a small battery to keep the car alive while changing the battery. But after the battery change the mirrors stayed folded in. ( ZS EV gen 1)
We drove off and about 200 metres down the road the mirrors decided to fold out so that they could be used as normal. It only did that once and has been perfect ever since.
It seems that the cars tiny minds just get frazzled sometimes.
The wonders of driving around in a moving computer. Luckily they don't run on the Windows program we could really be in trouble then.

Arahhh ….. I remember them well @Ian Key .
Had them on my Mk1 Mini Cooper S which I fully restored.
I can still remember replacing the glass sliding runners in both of the doors, way back in the day.
I wish I still had it now, it would be worth a small fortune.
Strange when you consider they were priced at only £450 on the road when first released at the Earls Court motor show in London.
A replacement pattern front door costs that much now.
( I still have a OEM door for a Mk2-3 Mini hanging in my garage ).
I clearly remember they pulled off the sheet, to reveal the Mini to the motoring press and they all thought it was a joke at first, because of its small compact size.
Cars at that time were absolutely huge !.
Ford Zephyrs and Rover 100 etc.
I loved the classic Mini I have owned about 6 of them over the years.
They look so small on the road now though.
