Intermittent electric window fault

Both the driver window and front passenger window seem to have a fault where they go down but don't go back up. I try the window switch again and again and eventually (sometimes first time, sometimes 20th time) it will go up. Driver's side is slightly worse but both have same fault.
Sounding like either the switch unit or a wiring connection? although it does seem strange that more than one would fail in same way - anyone had similar?

When the passenger side fails to move when switched from the driver control, does it work immediately from the passenger door itself?

Good question!
Just experimented...passenger button works every time. Even when the driver button is a bit tempermental.

Pretty conclusive it's the driver side button then.
Has there ever been water ingress? This can easily happen if the door is open when it's raining.

Forgot to update folks on this... I removed the button unit from the drivers door, removed the connectors and connected back up again and all worked fine. Must have been a dodgy connection.
