Pet mode / Internal Alarm Off

Indeed. I can imagine a dealer might have said it was coming, from what we all saw overseas, but I don't remember seeing it in UK advertising / marketing for the cars.

The Pet Mode itself isn't really the big issue for me - it's really the ability to turn off the internal alarm sensors. The only time I ever leave my dog in the car is when I need to nip into the services on a long journey. But turning off the internal alarm is important for other reasons - although my dad is now long gone, he suffered dementia and if I needed to leave him while I popped into the shop for some milk I had to lock the door, otherwise he would wander off.
