Pet mode / Internal Alarm Off

The Pet Mode itself isn't really the big issue for me - it's really the ability to turn off the internal alarm sensors. The only time I ever leave my dog in the car is when I need to nip into the services on a long journey. But turning off the internal alarm is important for other reasons - although my dad is now long gone, he suffered dementia and if I needed to leave him while I popped into the shop for some milk I had to lock the door, otherwise he would wander off.

I got my IM5 on Thursday and have worked out a 'get-around' for the pet issue - not ideal, but it works...

Whilst sitting in the car, put the drivers window down and open the scenes page on the centre console. Get out of the car, reach in and press nap mode. The window will put itself up (so be quick with the press) and the door handles retract. You can't open the doors without the key/card and the boot won't open either. Technically the car is still on (and the AC is on, which is kind of pet mode!) and I assume none of the alarm system is active, maybe even the doros aren't actually locked, but you can't release the door handles without the key card.
