Plastic wheel trim removal

How do i remove the plastic wheel trims without breaking them?
There is a thread on the forum that includes photos of somebody who made up a long pry bar, that was covered in plastic heat shrink.
This was used to slip down behind the trims to help release the clips behind.
I have taken a quick look, but am unable to locate it at the moment.
Maybe somebody else can find please !.
These trims are prone to spiting if not removed correctly and are about £50 each to replace !.
And likely a long lead time !.

This thread maybe?

It has some great photos included.
