Life is too short to be changing CDs every 30 minutes, plus it's unsafe to do while driving.
I started ripping my CD's about 20+ years ago. You can fit about 74 minutes of music on a 650 MB audio CD, or about 150 MP3 files on the same sized disc. Some CDs can contain 700 MB of music. A DVD can hold 4.7 gigabytes (GB), almost five times as many songs as a CD.
So basically a CD can hold 150+ songs, using mp3 format. I then figured out that my CD player could play mp3 tracks from a recorded DVD disc, a DVD can hold 4.7 gigabytes (GB), almost five times as many songs as an mp3 CD.
You can rip your CDs using Windows Media Player (WMP) which will take 2-3 minutes, and then download the artwork and track details to save the mp3 details.
WMP will store each album in a separate folder for each CD. I normally store mine under "Music/Artist/Album".
Most mp3 players allow you to play a singe Album at a time, shuffle mode (Random play) within a album, or my preference of shuffle all.
Once you have this setup on a memory stick you will probably never touch another CD again.
WMP is a bit clunky to use and I am certain others can suggest better programs to use.
If you want to contact me about this, you are welcome, I could even send you a stick with my 3,500 track collection to get you going.
For the little effort, you will be very happy with the end result.
