Is this the answer for some worried about running out of" juice"
might be a while before its available ?

i did see a little bit of info that said they can be used for house storage. and for a 4kwh battery it isnt a bad price, as i was looking at 2k for a 2.5kw battery to build a home storage system.

Not a bad idea but a bit bigger than a 5 litre can of petrol.

Another idea for the facelift models is to fit a tow bar then get a trailer with a much bigger battery or even a petrol generator.

Fortunately my present steed already has one of those under the bonnet but I don't think they'll ever catch on :)

"The power banks can provide up to 20 miles of range from a half-hour charge (at 7.2kW) which the provider says is sufficient for the average daily commute in the UK. "

How many people have the necessary 7.2 kw available?

Dave

Keep the £800 in your bank and plan your routes/get to know the areas you'll be driving in?
That's great, but the last time I Came back from the West Country, I stopped at three charging stations in a row that weren't working (thanks, BP!). I made it home with about fifteen miles left, but really don't want to feel that anxiety again.
