Folk say that motorcycles are dangerous.
They aren't, but myopic/distracted drivers are!
IMHO, every driver should be forced to do 12 months on a motorcycle. Before being granted a 4 wheel licence.

Looking back, I'm surprised my parents allowed me to get it, as I was living at home at the time, but as I was about 25 I suppose they thought they couldn't really lay down the law. My mother was a chronic worrier, but she coped somehow.

Motorcycles as such may not be dangerous, but the way some people ride them is absolutely lethal.

Like trying to ride down side of a queue on a narrow 2 way road and not liking being honked at by the truck driver coming the other way as he has no wriggle room
