Hi everyone.

I've got a couple of road trips this month and have been planning my journeys on ABRP and Zap-Map when I realised that the prices at the charging stops varied wildly from network to network.

So I visited The 15 Best Electric Car Charging Companies: A Round Up of UK Public Charging Networks | Lease Fetcher, which claims the site was updated in November this year, and I've compiled a list of PAYG networks from cheapest to dearest. Rapids are underlined. I hope you find this useful.

Pod Point PAYG at Lidl: 40p/kWh (rapid)

GeniePoint Guest: 20:00 – 07:59 = £0.57/kWh 08:00 – 19:59 = £0.75/kWh

Source London PAYG: £0.65/kWh

Gridserve PAYG: £0.49/kWh (Low), £0.65/kWh (Medium), £0.66/kWh (High)

Eyeve PAYG: £0.66/kWh

BP Pulse:

Free Membership = 57p Contactless or Guest = 57p
43 AC / 50kW DC charger - Subscription = 55p
Free Membership = 67p Contactless or Guest = 69p

150kW DC charger - Subscription = 65p
Free Membership = 77p Contactless or Guest = 79p

Ionity PAYG App Payment: £0.69/kWh

ESBenergy PAYG Contactless: £0.40/kWh (Fast Points) London - £0.74/kWh (Rapid Points)
Birmingham & Coventry - £0.73/kWh (Rapid Points)

InstaVolt PAYG: £0.75/kWh

Osprey Standard PAYG: £0.79/kWh

Shell Recharge PAYG: £0.79p/kWh (Rapid Devices) £0.85p/kWh (Ultra-Rapid Devices)

Edit: I've visited each of the network's websites and updated the prices from there.

Thanks for your replies, but I just wanted to list the contactless PAYG for people who don't do that many long journeys and don't want to mess with apps, subscriptions and RFID cards / loyalty cards etc. :)

I'd get the Electroverse card as it's one card fits most and if you are an Octopus customer you get a small discount.

Added a Manchester based network provider, Evyve: 66p/kWh. Contactless or app payments, same rate.
