I wrote to my MP re the lack of lighting and shelter at some public charge points. It was quite a challenge in the pouring rain one early evening last December. The black cables are a real trip hazard. His reply from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero describes the new standard, PAS 1899 published Oct 2022, for designing and installing public charge points. It covers access, location etc, as well as cctv, shelter and lighting. But it's voluntary. And about ten years late. Has anyone else experienced problems?

This is a topic which has appeared in other threads. Yes, there are many EV drivers who do not like being in a dark, out-of-the-way part of a car park with no cover and no nearby facilities unlike the provision for ICE drivers.
