Dear forum members, I am writing this having been recovered by the AA from the m25 on Friday on the way to the goodwood festival of speed.
Just approaching junction 16 of the m25, my 2025 mh hs phev with 3800 miles on the clock suddenly lost all power, with no prior warnings. After limping onto the hard shoulder and a number of warning lights appearing randomly on the display i was recovered to the local BP station where it was quite evident that there was a loss of coolant as pink liquid was leaking onto the floor. On closer inspection the aa man could see slight damage and a pin hole to the lower section of the radiator, presumably caused by a stone and possibly exacerbated by the 33 deg temperature. Not sure what other damage has occurred, but interestingly we didn't get a high temp alert on the engine tep indicator.
Interesting when looking at the lower part of the radiator, it is very low to the ground an has very little protection in front of it. Not sure how mg will view this in terms of warranty. The aa man wouldn't put rad seal in it incase it voided the warranty.
Interesting with the aa cover provided by mg, that a hire car is only available if the car is recovered to an mg garage, and they only use thrifty.
It's now8 25pm still no recovery truck so we'll see what happens !
