radio screen surface delaminating

anyone seen anything like this? it was just a small corner of the screen but overnight has grown. the touch is still working.
hard to describe, looks like a layer on the screen is delaminating

its on a PFL MG5.
ideas welcomed

Silly question, but let's eliminate the obvious, that's not the original film cover that you get on screens when new that should be removed is it ?

That’s what I thought. I had the same car over three years and didn’t see anything like that.

i dont think so, we have had it from new, so its 5 years old, but now you have said that this evening i will be out there checking the corners.

My first thought, too. But the fact it's on the frame too, makes me think no.
But hope it is for his sake, nice easy fix.

I think seeing it on the frame is just a reflection?

I was just coming to say, that's a reflection. It is only on the screen itself that's for sure.

Probably AM, the crackles and pops probably cause its skin to start peeling ..... it wasn't John Laws, he has passed away and that was a strictly Sydney piece of torment .......

hmm... worrying Display console blistering appears its not just me. apparently mazda cx-9's suffered from this a lot

I've had my 2021 PFL for a month now and my screen has this problem too. At first (until I read this forum) I thought the last owner had messed the screen up by cleaning it, using it as a suction phone mount location, used it with long nails.

I've not had chance to check properly for an original screen cover but I don't think it is that.
