Radio turning off

Hi am I missing something?

Every car I have had, when I turn the car off and open the door, the radio turns off.

My, MG4 trophy just keeps on blaring out the radio and music until I press the lock key. Are there any settings to turn off the radio after I have put the car in park and opened the door?

No settings as such, just get used to pressing the right hand central button on the steering wheel.

Same as OriginalBigAl, I use the mute button as an on/off switch.

read on young padawan..... updates/lack of them/not over the air/begging dealers for updates, is probably the most talked about topic on here.

May be annoying to you but to others it is a benefit. Don't hold your breath waiting for an update to address something like that

FWIW I think it's a good thing. It reminds my better half that if the radio is still on she HASN'T LOCKED THE CAR!!! Again

It’s considered a luxury feature on BMW. I quite like it, I get to enjoy my music while milling around the car, and it keeps the CarPlay connected if I just have to pop out of the car for something.

So… the lights stay on when you get out of the car and lock it? After you park up you could set the lights back to auto couldn’t you?

Or are you saying the lights stay on when you lock the car while driving it? Which I think wouldn’t be an issue.
