Radio won’t play when connected to CarPlay

Does anyone else have this problem? I can listen to the radio no problem when my Apple CarPlay is not connected. But as soon as it connects the radio just won’t play. Sometimes it looks like it is playing but there’s no sound and other times it just does nothing when you press play. Anyone know how to fix this issue?

is it because it's looking for music on the phone? have you tried going to the radio menu and reselecting that?

Yeah I got back to the radio menu and reselect but doesn’t make a difference. Just won’t play - not sure what the issue is

I found that if i forwarded to the next radio station it brought the radio back on. Weird

I feel like I have tried this in the past but not sure so I’ll give it a try again and see if it works

Just a thought for you (and this may be totally wrong in your car!):

In my S5 I have AA set to connect to my phone automatically so it starts up with the car (assuming I have remembered to take my phone with me) but the radio is silent (it wasn't on my previous 5 PFL). I discovered it was actually muted and simply tapping on the volume button on the steering wheel immediately brought it "back to life".

See this could work because I swear sometimes it looks like it’s playing but there’s just no sound. I will give this a try as well! Thanks!
