Hi, being new on here I just wondered what sort of range others are achieving and the miles per kwh? MG5 Long Range

I do an 80 mile return commute each day, mainly motorway (at 65 with occasional boost) and dependent on ambient temp I use around 35% battery and return 4 miles per kwh.

How does this compare to others?

I was glad I got the car in Sept as it meant the dark mornings and rain meant I got used to the heavier usage first! Didn't get the Podpoint installed until December, but that was a game hanger. We're off to France in it in August, so that will be interesting / nerve-wracking!

For France you need Chargemap and their RFID card. The Octopus RFID works too. Stick to Ionity at first then branch out trying other chargers.

Brill, thanks. I was looking at EV maps the other day and RFID cards etc. Have you used the options you quote on the continent?

ZS EV 1st reg sept 2021, 10,000 kms.

I just did a 110 km round-trip this morning. Weather good, Eco mode/Regen 3/ 80kph on open road.

Took a pic of the dashboard screen and couldn't believe my luck !!!

It varies by country. Chargemap dominates France. Spain has Electromaps and several independents like WENEA, Zunder (ex Easycharger) and ENEL Electric Juice. Portugal is Miio on 100% of chargers, so easy. Further east New Motion / Shell are more dominant.

Chargemap / Electromaps / New Motion work in most countries but each country is better covered by one or other.

I find Spain incredibly challenging for charging!

That's amazing. Mind you on mine, there appears to be some inconsistencies sometimes between the % used and the m/kwh

Sounds similar to me. I've had my MG5 LR for about 3 weeks now. My commute is 100 miles round trip on flat motorway ay 70 mph. I use around 40-45% battery and average about 3.8 m/kWh.

I'm quite chuffed at the moment, with the weather as it is and a steady right foot, I can do on 26%!

We went to the dealers today for my ZS's second service and SWMBO followed me in her MG5 SR to bring me home while it was being done. The dealer is 8 miles away and on the 16 mile trip the MG5 did 5.5m/kWh. FWIW my ZS did 4.7 m/kWh.

My daily commute is 2.9 miles each way and I’ve been managing 4.1. Today I made a 48 mile round trip and averaged 4.5 (4.6 on the way there with no air con and the windows open. 4.5 on the way back with air con on. For the sake of 0.1 I’ll be keeping the a/c on in this infernal weather!)
