My current car (Ioniq 5 AWD) manages about 260 in summer and 220 in winter, Would be really disappointed is the IM6 with a claimed range of 380 miles cannot manage 300. In fact having driven EVs for over 10 years I would consider it the most misleading claim from a manufacturer I have seen!If 300 miles is what you are after regardless weather, temperature or (legal) speed then if I was you I would go ahead and cancel.
I don't think it till be able to consistently hit 300 under all conditions.
If you don't fancy a Tesla then Xpeng could be the solution.
That's a good philosophy mate. That's why it's best not to get to, worked up about range. And constantly checking it. Even if it's lower than your expecting.
If the range, is good enough for your needs. Just enjoy it.![]()
Not getting worked up, just that I want 300 miles for my regular trips to Cornwall. That's why it's best not to get to, worked up about range. And constantly checking it. Even if it's lower than your expecting.

Looking at it at the moment (on not a lot of real world evidence) it definitely looks like it's going to struggle to get close to 300 miles in winterOthers have reported 3.2 plus for the long range. If this 2.6 figures remains the average thenI will cancel my order. I wanted the IM6 as I expected to get at least 300 miles out of it.
Not really a concern from winter….Looking at it at the moment (on not a lot of real world evidence) it definitely looks like it's going to struggle to get close to 300 miles in winter
Fair enough but the figures posted by new owners are for very mild temps considering it's November. They are poor and as you say nowhere near the marketed rangeNot really a concern from winter….

Not expecting to get the manufacturers figures, just something in the same continent.Fair enough. But if it doesn't give you that.
What next? You might have to stop and charge once. I know what you are saying about manufacturers figures and would be great if you got those figures or even close to them. But you rarely will, if at all.
