Real world range

Others have reported 3.2 plus for the long range. If this 2.6 figures remains the average thenI will cancel my order. I wanted the IM6 as I expected to get at least 300 miles out of it.

If 300 miles is what you are after regardless weather, temperature or (legal) speed then if I was you I would go ahead and cancel.
I don't think it till be able to consistently hit 300 under all conditions.
If you don't fancy a Tesla then Xpeng could be the solution.

My current car (Ioniq 5 AWD) manages about 260 in summer and 220 in winter, Would be really disappointed is the IM6 with a claimed range of 380 miles cannot manage 300. In fact having driven EVs for over 10 years I would consider it the most misleading claim from a manufacturer I have seen!

I see your point.
Problem is that with the way WTLP is calculated it is a complete farce.
30 minutes at 23 oC where high speed (if you can call high speed 94 km/h average) for 9 minutes out of the total.
Not surprised of the noticed discrepancies with real life experience.

My Model 3 in theory had 348 miles based on WLTP. Never; ever got anything more than 260 on motorway. Once travelling to London during winter got something like 220...

That's why it's best not to get to, worked up about range. And constantly checking it. Even if it's lower than your expecting.
If the range, is good enough for your needs. Just enjoy it. 🙂👍
Not getting worked up, just that I want 300 miles for my regular trips to Cornwall.

Looking at it at the moment (on not a lot of real world evidence) it definitely looks like it's going to struggle to get close to 300 miles in winter

Fair enough. But if it doesn't give you that.
What next? You might have to stop and charge once. I know what you are saying about manufacturers figures and would be great if you got those figures or even close to them. But you rarely will, if at all.
🙂👍

Not expecting to get the manufacturers figures, just something in the same continent.
John-Cortin Fernandez post on the FB group that 'I'm getting 3 miles per kWh.'

I want a car that I do not have to stop at a charging location just to get to Cornwall. We have places that we like to stop at (and our dog likes it as well!) but they do not have chargers.

Screen shot the below from an article, can't remember where, forgot id done it. Summary below real world from an owner

Mild weather (approx. 20°C): Around 299 to 310 miles
Highway (70 mph): Around 285 miles
Cold weather (0°C): This will be significantly lower not tested yet

This is a long range IM6

There is this that was posted 2nd in this thread:

Do you think it will be any more accurate than this...

Yeah EV database is reasonably accurate, the figures I posted were from the comments section on a page with a review of the car, just can't remember what article.
No idea where the owner has 20°c temps but the real world range is poor in this example no getting away from it
