Does anyone else have an elusive rattle from the rear of their IM5?

I noticed a sound like something was moving around in the boot area a day or so after getting the car, but now just 150 miles later it has become a definitive metal on metal 'clank' or rattle when driving over uneven roads. It's not overly loud, but neither can it be ignored! There's absolutely nothing in the boot area and there's nothing loose under the boot floor (all the electrical gizmos are secure there) and, so far as I can see, there's nothing loose under the floor pan. The boot lid appears to be seated ok as well.
None of the seat belt fasteners are touching anything metallic and I tried removing everything from the frunk and centre armrest storage, just in case I was mis-hearing the noise location - no change though, it's still there. I can't think of anything else to check.

I have the car booked in for ceramic coating with a detailer tomorrow, but as soon as I get it back I'll be back to the dealer for them to find the issue - unless anyone has any other suggestions as to what the source of the rattle could be?

From Bristol, so probably not any trapped ice that is rattling? And the wheel bolts is secure?

To be honest, it is cold enough here today to ice up the car enough to block a lot of the cameras, but it does sound a harder type of knock that I would imagine ice would make. I'll certainly check the wheel bolts, although I would think they would rattle all the time, not just when driving over bumps.
Play in the reg plate ?
That could be a good suspect

I'll just go and check those suggestions - one moment please :).......

OK - I've just checked and there is definitely no play in the numberplate. I can't check the wheel bolt tightness without taking the weight of the car off the wheels, that'll have to wait until I can
a) get a jack and determine where the jacking points are, and
b) feel my hands again!!

Reminds me of Peter Sellers, who had a rattle in the boot of his Rolls. He got Spike Milligan to climb into the boot as he drove around London in the early hours. They got stopped by a policeman. When he opened the boot he said, oh it's you!
