Rear passenger seat belt alarm

So doing the Uni run this weekend. Will have the double rear seats down to load up. In my MG5 Trophy if I did this the seatbelt alarm would go off. Does the MG4 Trophy LR do this as well?

Never had the rear seat belt go off in my MG4 SE LR with rear seats folded and load in the back. Many a successful run to the recycling centre.

I had the seat belt warning start up once when I was carting a heavy table top. It turned out that I'd accidentally trapped a box of tissues between the folded backrest and the seat squab and this was pressing on the sensor. I thought I was in for 40 minutes of beeps but after 3 or 4 minutes it stopped. I had to stop part way home and it started beeping again when I set off. Thankfully it again stopped after a few minutes. Other than that, I've never had the warning start up when carrying loads in the back with the seats folded.

I've had the rear seats down in my SE SR to transport some furniture without any such issues.

I had the alarm on the way back from Cornwall, we had a few happy miles trying to identify the cause of the new bing-bong. I spotted that it only happened on roundabouts, and we sussed that it was a heavy bag shifting on the seat - the alarm wasn't on long enough to trip the seatbelt warning light on the dash. We clipped in the seatbelt, and it was golden.

As @nogbad says, if it is a problem, just fasten the seat belt.

Sharing an update on this I had no issue with false alarms from the seat warning

It was a smooth trip apart from getting a nail slow leak puncture an hour in. It was the front passenger wheel so thank god for live tyre pressure monitor warning me before it got dangerously low on the motorway.
