The long-awaited "RECALL CAMPAIGN" has finally begun in Italy (MG£ hybrid +).
- Seat fastening mechanism.

Registered letter with return receipt arrived.
I need to make an appointment with the MG dealer.
Response time: 30 minutes.

It's a shame the dealer doesn't have the parts.
They'll order the bracket and screws; when they arrive, they'll schedule a half-day appointment.
Let's hope for the best. . . .

For this type of repair, a replacement car is not available:
The repair will only last half an hour, but the car will be kept for half a day.
Replacement cars are available for a fee only.
That's what they told the MG dealer.

Does anyone know what is actually done to the seat ?

I called MG service and they confirmed that my car was covered by this "repair campaign."
I booked the service May 16th.

I contacted MG customer services here in France about the recall.
I got a reply telling me to contact the dealer who would tell me if my car is affected.
So, if you're in France and are waiting to be contacted by lettre or telephone, then you'll be waiting a long time.
Call your dealer with your VIN number.

Got our car done today. The seat feels different and I am sure it slides back a bit further, so I wonder of the replace it and the runners. It took them 2 hours, but that included a "health check", which is an excuse to look for more work, and a wash. It least it all cost nothing and I got time to have a good look at the rest of the range, which is expanding dramatically.
